A solar-lit village library, run by the children who use it, is the reason 30 teenagers passed their Class 10 board exams this year.
Electricity in Rampur Kalan arrives for four hours a day, usually in the afternoon when children are at school.
The Library in Every Village campaign funded a solar light, 800 books and a librarian salary for a Class 12 graduate from the village.
It is open from 6 PM to 10 PM — the only lit room in the village after dark.
