What we collect
When you donate, volunteer, subscribe or write to us, we collect the details you provide: name, email, phone number, postal address and — for 80G tax receipts — your PAN. Payment card and bank details are handled entirely by our payment partner (Razorpay) and never stored on our servers.
How we use it
- To process your donation and issue receipts and 80G certificates
- To send you updates about the work your support makes possible (you can opt out any time)
- To respond to your enquiries and volunteer applications
- To comply with Indian law, including the Income Tax Act and FCRA reporting
What we never do
We never sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the site (payment processing, email delivery, hosting) under strict confidentiality, and with authorities where the law requires.
Your choices
You may ask us to correct, export or delete your data, or to stop contacting you, by emailing donors@umeedfoundation.org. We will respond within 30 days. Where we are legally required to retain records (for example, donation receipts), we will tell you.
Cookies & analytics
We use only essential cookies needed for the site to function and privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics. We do not use advertising trackers.
