Refunds
Donations are generally non-refundable, as they are put to work quickly. However, we will refund a donation in full if:
- It was made in error (for example, a duplicate transaction or an incorrect amount), and you write to us within 7 days of the transaction; or
- A technical error resulted in your being charged without a donation being recorded.
To request a refund, email donors@umeedfoundation.org with your transaction ID. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 7–10 working days. Where a tax receipt has been issued, it will be cancelled.
Cancelling a monthly donation
You can cancel a monthly gift at any time, for any reason, by emailing donors@umeedfoundation.org. Cancellations take effect before the next scheduled charge. Charges already processed are not refunded unless the conditions above apply.
Failed or pending payments
If your bank shows a debit but you did not receive a receipt within 24 hours, the payment is likely pending with the gateway. Please contact us with the transaction reference and we will confirm or reverse it.
